The Green at Aura

Elk Township Park
Adjacent to AURA is The Elk Township Recreation Park is home to town ball fields housing Little League, and Soccer and other team play.
A 6-mile hiking and biking trail on an old railroad bed is accessible from the Elk Township Recreation Park adjacent to AURA. The trail traverses the Reed Branch passing forests farm fields and lush swamps full of mountain laurel. A four season adventure the swamp includes birds of all varieties and many species of woodland animal. In 1880 an elephant escaped from a Circus Train into the swamp giving the preserve its name.
